This hub is designed to support students and teachers by providing access to library resources, research support, and borrowing information.

Library Catalogue & Digital Resources

Search the NAPS Library catalogue to find textbooks, reference materials, and study resources. Resources can be accessed by logging into Moodle directly, which links to Prescribed textbooks and unit materials. 

eBooks and learning materials are available through Moodle or the catalogue. Students can also access open source eBooks and articles, which are regularly updated and support research needs.

Research Support

The library provides support to help students succeed academically.

Students can receive assistance with finding academic resources, locating prescribed textbooks, and accessing digital learning materials.

Recent Service introduced   

1) NAPS Street Library Corner  

Students are also welcome to visit the NAPS Street Library Corner, a free book-sharing space where they can take a book, leave a book, and enjoy reading beyond their course materials. 

2) Colouring Activity Corner(Coming Soon)  

Students can also enjoy a Colouring Activity Corner, offering a relaxing space to unwind and support wellbeing. A selection of colouring sheets and materials is available for students to use, encouraging creativity and stress relief alongside their academic work.

Library Services

The NAPS Library provides a range of services for both students and lecturers.

This includes assistance in locating textbooks and learning resources, support for lecturers with prescribed and recommended readings, research guidance for students, and access to both physical and digital materials.


Borrowing Information

Borrowing Entitlement

Students must present a valid student ID card to borrow library materials. The student ID card serves as the Library Borrowing Card. Students are required to check the physical condition of items at the time of borrowing. Borrowed items remain the responsibility of the borrower until they are returned.

Care of Library Materials

Library materials must not be damaged in any way. Underlining, highlighting, writing, or marking pages is not allowed. Students will be responsible for fines or replacement costs for any damaged materials.

Borrowing Rules

For students, a maximum of two books can be borrowed at a time for a period of 14 days. Renewals are allowed if there are no existing reservations on the item.

For staff, loan rules apply to hardcopy collections, and access is also provided to electronic resources. Staff may borrow up to 10 items for a period of 12 weeks and can place up to 10 holds at a time.

Renewals

Items may be renewed for a maximum total loan period of 24 weeks, with up to six renewals allowed, provided there are no reservations on the item.

Special Reserve Items

Special Reserve items are high-demand materials and are not available for standard loan. Students and teachers must contact library staff to request access or short-term loan. Loan conditions are determined by the Library.

Not for Loan Items

Items marked as Not for Loan must remain within the Library and are available for in-library use only.

Overdue Items

Late returns incur a fee of $2 per day. Students will be notified by email if items become overdue. Borrowing privileges may be suspended until overdue items are returned and fines are cleared.

Lost or Damaged Items

Items not returned after one month may be considered lost and charged at replacement cost. Any damaged item will be subject to a replacement fee equal to the cost of the item. An invoice will be issued to recover the cost.
