Dr. Zhao Zou is a dedicated lecturer and researcher specializing in Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) and AI-driven user experience design. She earned her PhD in Human–Computer Interaction in 2025, focusing on humanoid agents such as social robots, avatars, and in-vehicle assistants. Her research investigates how auditory characteristics of these agents influence human cognition, emotion, and mental health, contributing to more empathetic and human-centered AI systems.
Dr. Zou has extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate units across Artificial Intelligence, User Experience, Information Systems, IT Project Management, and Digital Communication.
