Samrat Lamichhane is an MBA-qualified academic and industry practitioner with over eight years of experience spanning higher education and strategic business leadership. He has served as a Lecturer at Islington College (affiliated with London Metropolitan University) and The British College (affiliated with Leeds Beckett University), delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules in alignment with UK academic standards and quality frameworks. 

Alongside academia, Samrat has held strategic leadership roles with the USAID Trade and Competitiveness Activity implemented by Deloitte, as well as with Daraz (an Alibaba Group venture) and OYO Rooms. His expertise spans commercial strategy, P&L leadership, digital transformation, value chain development, grants management, and market systems development, particularly within technology and tech-enabled business ecosystems. He has collaborated closely with government and private sector stakeholders to enhance the competitiveness of Nepal’s digital services sector by designing and implementing interventions that address critical growth barriers, creating favorable policy environments and strengthen market linkages. 

By integrating board-level strategic exposure with academic delivery, Samrat effectively bridges theory and practice, fostering critical thinking, strategic decision-making, and industry relevance in diverse and multicultural learning environments.
