Michael has worked in higher education since 1999 and with independent providers since 2008. With qualifications in business, management, marketing, higher education, and history Michael has had a varied career as a business and gastronomy academic and in corporate and academic leadership and governance roles.

He has held corporate roles in Australia, the USA and in Europe and has worked in aeronautics, facilities management and the Australian wine industry.

He is on the TEQSA Register of Experts for business, corporate and academic governance, and course design.

When not dealing with higher education, Michael regularly facilitates wine tastings and wine dinners. Michael is finalizing a book on flavour and taste and translations of 3 seminal French works from 1800s on cuisine and gastronomy that have not been translated into English.
